Give us a brief overview of your role as Lightning Protection Testing and Inspection Coordinator?

As the Project Coordinator for the Testing & Maintenance team, I handle everything from when a job is won from a tender to its successful completion.

My responsibilities include coordinating logistics, ensuring our engineers have the proper paperwork and permits, ensuring the client receives all relevant documents, and guaranteeing that tests are carried out to the highest standards in line with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001.

Additionally, I ensure that reports are completed on time so clients can expect reports promptly once our testing engineers have left their site.

How did you come to join LPI Group as Lightning Protection Testing Coordinator?

I have always been interested in coordinating and planning. I am an organised individual with a drive for getting the best out of people in daily tasks that require on-time execution and completion.

When the opportunity to join LPI Group came up, I saw it as the perfect fit for my skills and interests, so I took it.

What’s the most exciting aspect of your role as Testing & Inspection Coordinator?

The most exciting part of my role is the variety and the challenge of ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish. Every project is different, and I enjoy the problem-solving aspect and the satisfaction of seeing a job well done.

I enjoy the daily communication with our testing and maintenance team as well as interacting with clients to schedule tests for their facility to guarantee their facility remains compliant with lightning protection system and earthing system standards. Overall, there is a lot of variety and interaction in my role.

Your favourite thing about working with LPI Group?

My favorite things are the office atmosphere and the learning opportunities. The camaraderie in the office is fantastic, making it a fun place to work. Everyone is very helpful, and I enjoy coming to work every day.

Away from work, what do you like to do?

Outside of work, I love playing hurling and soccer. This year I went back to playing soccer after a few years away from it. I follow Arsenal, similar to Mr Loni, as I read in his earlier employee story!

As a Kilkenny man, Hurling is, and always will be my first and favourite sport.
