LPI Lightning Protection Technicians receive the Subcontractor of the month award from Kirby Team on site in Gavle, Sweden

LPI Group, Europe’s leading turnkey earthing, lightning, and surge protection specialists have been awarded the subcontractor of the month by Kirby Group Engineering on a mission critical Hyperscale data centre in Gävle Sweden (GVX22).

This is a significant award for LPI Group’s Swedish team, as it underpins our commitment to delivering high performance lightning protection systems to the Swedish Market.

Receiving the award on behalf of LPI Group are Lightning Protection Technicians based on site Keith Commons and Matthew Sweeney.

LPI were awarded this by Kirby for our diligent work on site, and submissions of reports and returns. Furthermore, Kirby Group have also acknowledged that;

Their observations are thoughtful and productive, demonstrating a constant awareness of safety and a desire to improve standards for all.”

Our Commitment to Sweden

LPI Group are proud to have a permanent residence in Gävle since our official office opening in September 2022 and registration of our Swedish entity completed prior to the office opening. LPI are active in Sweden since 2019 including Stockholm, Malmo, Luleå, Katrineholm, and Skellefteå. The office was officially opened by Minister Austin Gormley and Enterprise Ireland’s Nordic lead for High-Tech Construction, Karin Angus.

The office also has warehouse storage facilities to lower the carbon footprint of materials transportation to site in Sweden and other Nordic sites.

LPI Group are also Proud members of the Swedish Data Centre Industry Association since October 2023.

LPI Group are currently working on a number of data centre projects in Sweden and the Nordic region, with on-going projects in Oslo, Helsinki, and Copenhagen.
